Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BetterLink uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our services. We are committed to being transparent about the technologies we use.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website owners. Cookies can be "session cookies" (which are deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
BetterLink uses a limited number of cookies focused on authentication and security. We do not use advertising cookies or cookies that track you across unrelated websites.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or filling out forms.
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | Maintains your logged-in session so you don't have to sign in on every page | Rolling period of up to seven days |
Infrastructure Cookies
Our infrastructure provider may set cookies for security and performance purposes. These cookies help protect against malicious traffic and ensure the website loads quickly.
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Infrastructure security | Bot detection and security protection | When set, about 30 minutes of inactivity |
3. Cookies We Don't Use
BetterLink does not use:
- Advertising or tracking cookies: We do not use cookies to track you across websites or serve targeted advertisements.
- Third-party marketing cookies: We do not allow advertising networks to set cookies on our website.
- Analytics cookies: Aizen's website tracker does not set analytics cookies or use local storage. BetterLink's separate account-linked Aizen product integration may use limited session storage as described below.
4. BetterLinks and Visitor Privacy
Following a managed BetterLink does not cause BetterLink to set a tracking cookie. Request information may be used to select an Amazon storefront or resolve another destination selected by the customer. BetterLink stores aggregate click categories rather than persistent visitor profiles, although infrastructure providers may process ordinary request metadata for routing and security. Destination websites may use their own cookies under their own policies.
A publisher who installs the Smart Router may cause temporary routing information to be cached in a visitor's browser to improve repeat-link performance. The publisher is responsible for describing its use of the Smart Router in its own privacy and storage notices.
5. Your Cookie Choices
BetterLink does not currently display a cookie banner. Its website analytics tracker is cookieless, while login and security cookies are used to provide requested account functionality. The account-linked product analytics and related session storage are described in this policy and the Privacy Policy.
You can still control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies (note: this will prevent you from logging in)
- Delete all cookies when you close your browser
Please note that if you block our session cookie, you will not be able to log in to your BetterLink account.
6. Similar Technologies
BetterLink uses local or session storage to remember interface preferences such as theme and export columns, preserve selected YouTube workflow state, and avoid sending the same Aizen product milestone repeatedly during one session. Preference values generally remain on the device; account-linked milestone events are sent to Aizen as described in the Privacy Policy. Sites that install the Smart Router may also cache temporary routing results in visitor browsers.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we make changes.
8. More Information
For more details about how we handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy. If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us.
